Destinations and their purpose aren’t always as relevant as the ones you choose to join you on the journey. Perception can be dangerous, as not all who wonder are lost.
The Gathering is our take on a classic Spanish Rioja blend of Tempranillo and Grenache. Typically, they are dry, very earthy and very tannic, which requires them to age for quite a while before it’s palatable wine. Taking advantage of Paso Roble’s unique terroir, we are able to produce a beautifully balanced blend of Tempranillo and Grenache with a signature New World flare!
With a ruby center and a slightly opaque rim, our 2015 Gathering is extremely aromatic. Beginning with notes of strawberry roll ups, black cherries and raspberries are followed by a subtle hint of minerality and light nuances of oak. On the palate, you’re greeted with a bite of spice, black pepper and earthiness before a mid-palate of soft tannins and dark fruits mingle into a long finish of tobacco and a tart minerality.
